Metro Detroit Youth Day Prayer Breakfast
The Youth Day Spiritual Breakfast is the official kick off ceremony for the annual Metro Youth Day held on July 11, 2012 on the athletic field on Belle Isle. Several community groups and corporate sponsors will be in attendance to support scholarships given to outstanding graduating high school seniors. Attendees include local clergy, Metro Detroit Youth Day board members, and the youth of the community. The Breakfast will also include entertainment from area youth groups.

Scholarship Reception
The Michigan Youth Appreciation Foundation was established to improve the quality of life for young people in Michigan through activities and programs that focus on providing role models for young people, developing leadership skills, and encouraging youth to engage in constructive activities in their leisure time. The reception supports the foundation by raising funds to award scholarships and community service awards to deserving students.
